Blurring the line between photography, design and illustration, Plastock was the first stock image collection to create a digital synthesis of all three, based on Charles S. Anderson's lifetime compilation of 100,000 plastic objects sourced from collectors around the world.
To achieve these one-of-a-kind images, CSA's designers spent countless hours hand-painting thousands of these pieces, over a decade photographing them, and even more time digitally transforming them in Photoshop into synthetic eye candy available for license by designers, advertising firms and product applications.
There has been a lot of interest in Plastock and CSA Images from fashion and accessory companies, especially in Europe. For example, the Dutch fashion company Oilily used CSA Images as the basis of their entire Fall line.
